The Heat Transfer is an image printed on special transfer paper. This type of printing can be achieved through various technologies such as offset, screen printing, digital printing and other.

The image is applied on the fabric by thermotransfer press.

The types of transfers are sublimation printed, solvent, waterbased, plastisol heat transfers etc.Megaprint Transfers is specialized of screen printing plastisol heat transfers, hotfix rhinestones motifs and sublimation.

We manufacture 5 different types of plasitisol heat transfer prints for a different usage - Hot peel, Hot split, Cold peel, Process puff (full color heat transfer), Puff. Some of them are more suitable for dark or ligher fabrics and have different methods of transfering on the garment. ( temperature, pressure and time to wait before remove the paper).

Once the design is screen printed onto the paper, theprinted heat transfer papers are shipped to you so you can put them ont-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc with a heat press.

METHOD OF TRANSFERING

HOT PEELTRANSFER

HP - hot peel - opaque transfers, soft to the touch, suitable for dark or light fabrics.

TEMPERATURE - 190-195 C ; TIME 5-10 SECONDS ; PRESSURE - MEDIUM, about 3-4 atmospheres for the automatic presses. The paper has to be removed immediately after the press has been opened.

What Type of Different Plastisol Transfers Are There?

PSPF - process puff - full color puff transfer, suitable for dark or light fabrics.

TEMPERATURE - 190 C ; TIME 10 SECONDS - PRESSURE - MEDIUM, about 3-4 atmospheres for the automatic presses. The paper has to be removed immediately after the press has been opened.

HS - hot split - very soft to the touch, suitable for light fabrics.

TEMPERATURE - 200 C ; TIME - 5-8 SECONDS ; PRESSURE - MEDIUM, about 3-4 atmospheres for the automatic presses. The paper has to be removed immediately after the press has been opened.

PF - puff - puff transfers, suitable for dark or light fabrics.

TEMPERATURE - 200 C ; TIME 3-5 SECONDS ; PRESSURE - STRONG, about 4-6 atmospheres for the automatic presses. The paper has to be removed immediately after the press has been opened.

Because of the specificity of the different presses, these data are relative.Before long series, make test to setup your press.

How Are Plastisol Transfers Made?

Unlike inkjet transfers, plastisol transfers can't be printed at home with an inkjet printer, they must be printed by a professional screen printer that specializes in custom plastisol transfers. The minimums forscreen printedtransfers can be MUCH lower than a traditional screen printed shirt. I've seen minimums as low as 8 "sheets", however your costs will go down as your quantities purchased go up.

What Color and Type ofT-ShirtsCan I Use with Plastisol Transfers?

They can be used to decorate dark colored t-shirts or light colored garments, 100% cotton, 50/50, Nylon and other garment types.

What Is the Quality of Plastisol Transfers

Out of inkjet printed transfers, vinyl transfers, laser printed transfers and opaque transfers, plastisol transfers have the highest print quality and best durability of them all.

SOME BENEFITS OF USING HEAT TRANSFERS

There are meny positive aspects of using screen printed plastisol heat transfers, but the most important are:

1. When you're making custom design with many colors - over 3 - 4 - the price is getting much lower then direct screen printing, because of the higher production rate.

2. In usage heat transfers you don't have to print all of the t-shirts in stock. You can have more designs and print the clothes only when you have order from your client. In this way, the risk is less.
